Broomfield man sentenced to life for stalking, killing wife

Denver (KDVR)-Bromfield man was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of conditional release after being convicted of killing his wife while impersonating her former boyfriend and chasing her.

Daniel Crag was accused of killing his wife, Christiel Curg, after discovering her body in the garage of their house in 2023.

Kristile was contacted by those who thought he was a former friend through a text message about “installation” while he was in the city, where he made comments about her “losing husband” and that he was watching her.

She was found shortly after a dead period in her home garage.

The husband contacted the police and asked them to conduct a luxury examination because his wife did not return his messages. They arrived at the house and found her body.

Daniel was arrested on December 16, 2023, two days after his wife was found.

Investigators said they had found contradictions with the case and tracked the IP address of the messages sent, which are bound again to Daniel’s workplace.

According to the father of Kristel, three cameras were installed at home due to concerns about chase threats.

The police discovered that the cameras were not registered during the killing time, and the camera in the garage contained a tape covering the lens. Cameras from neighbors’ homes also showed that no one is “unknown to the family” entered the house in the pre -killing hours.

The police also found that the fireplace used to send text messages was purchased using a recorded gift card to Daniel.

The former friend who was allegedly sent the messages was eight -hour drive in Utah during the killing, and the police said he was not considered a suspect.
