Brittany Eady Sues Bravo for $20M Over Kenya Moore’s X-Rated Photo Drama!
Brittany Eady is taking legal action after a turbulent season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta—one that she says left her “devastated.”
The reality TV newcomer, 37, has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, True Original, and Endemol Shine North America, alleging she was defamed and emotionally harmed when fellow cast member Kenya Moore displayed a sexually explicit image that Brittany claims falsely portrayed her.
According to court filings obtained by The Independent, Brittany’s lawsuit—filed in New York State Supreme Court on June 6—accuses the defendants of defamation, sexual harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and creating a hostile work environment.
The allegations center around a June 2024 taping that aired in April 2025 during an episode titled About Last Night.
“Moore also displayed posters containing written false and defamatory statements regarding Plaintiff and her occupation, as well as an explicit photograph depicting a woman engaged in graphic sexual conduct,” her legal team states. “The cast member falsely claimed that the photograph depicted the Plaintiff.”
The filing further alleges that producers ignored Brittany’s requests to view the image before it aired. “Despite Plaintiff’s repeated requests that she be shown the photograph before the episode aired, Defendants refused to do so,” the document continues.
“On information and belief, Defendants knew that the photograph did not depict Plaintiff or, at the least, were reckless or grossly negligent in failing to learn that the photograph did not depict Plaintiff.”
Brittany publicly addressed the controversy for the first time on Thursday, hours after the suit was filed, confirming she chose not to appear at the season 16 reunion, which was taped earlier this spring.
“As everyone is now aware, I’m not attending the reunion. This was my decision,” she wrote in an Instagram statement. “The events of this season have devastated me, and while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me.”
She added that she initially reacted out of shock after hearing about the photo secondhand. “Based on what I was told, [I] assumed that it was somehow a photo of me—which is why I reacted in the way that I did,” she explained. “I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me.”
Brittany said the incident nearly cost her an insurance license and prompted her to step away from the reunion taping.
“I’m looking forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life,” she concluded.
Shortly after her Instagram post, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Brittany had scrubbed all RHOA references from her social media bio, prompting speculation that she may be done with the series altogether.
A source close to production confirmed to PEOPLE that Brittany chose to sit out the reunion due to tension with her castmates. Meanwhile, Kenya Moore was reportedly not invited to attend.
Kenya, 54, later addressed her absence on social media, writing, “Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests, and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
