Beau Jo's in Evergreen raising money for Jeffco Public Schools after shooting

Denver (KDVR) – Days after the shooting of a permanent green high school, the community meets to gather around the victims and students in the school.

Beau Jo’s is already a common place for pizza, but guests during the past few days have also appeared for a good reason, as they raised money for Jeffco Public Schools.

Bo -Joe Natalie Gutires employee loves evergreen.

“It is a small mountain community, we are all together,” said Guterres.

She is a graduate from a permanent high school, and she was destroyed to hear the news of the shooting this week.

“I live in Golden and I came here for a safer society, and it is really sad to happen here,” Guterres said.

Her colleague, Madi Russell, felt that he was hit near the house as well; She is also a teacher at an elementary school.

“As teachers, for example, at the back of our minds, we believe, for example, when will it happen next time? We must be prepared for that,” Russell said.

The tragedy crushed it, but looking at hope, now, at work. Since Thursday, Beau Jo has collected money for Jeffco Public Schools; 20 % of all sales go to the area.

“I still tell everyone I know, like, please come to Beau Jo, you will get the pizza for a good reason.”

Not everyone here is evergreen, or even Colorado. Amy West and her family visit from Texas and have just reached the city early on Saturday, and I am happy to help after knowing the shooting of news at home.

“When we entered, they told us about collecting donations, so we decided to support the work,” West said.

West hopes at a current secondary school, and the students of Evergreen reflect on the difficult transfer to the school.

“Be kind with everyone, so no one feels the need to do these types of things,” West said.

Support from all parts of the country to the society they love, which says Russell means the world.

“Just go to tell you that people have good hearts,” Russell said.

Beau Jo will continue to collect donations tomorrow also if you want to go out and support. They said based on sales from the last two days, they expect a few thousand dollars to collect.
