Bay Area family's RV allegedly damaged by renter who took it to Burning Man

(Kron) – The Redwood city family says it takes legal measures against a tenant claiming to have led a mobile housing to a burning man without permission, causing thousands of dollars in weather damage in the vehicle.

Ronnie Ghinto, the owner of RV, stated that the tenant’s contract specifically states that RV cannot be transferred to Burning Man. However, a RV tracking device showed that the tenant was leading the cart to Black Rock City, Nevada during the festival’s dates.

“Insurance will not cover [the damages]”… he was still doing it, he was still choosing. It’s disappointing and shy.” Ghinto said.

Jinto said that the tenant responsible for the damage was two young Shakuri. According to the business records from Guinto, Shakoori RV has hired the same weekend as the Burning Man Festival.
