‘Back to the Future’ Star Facing Assault and Battery Allegations From Ex-Girlfriend – Closer Weekly

Crispin Glover is facing allegations of assault and battery from a former girlfriend, according to a newly filed complaint.

In the complaint obtained by People on Wednesday, February 25, the Back to the Future star, 61, is accused of battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution and intentional infliction of emotional distress, as well as alleged violations of California’s civil rights statute known as the Bane Act.

The filing claims the allegations stem from what it describes as a “disturbing series of incidents” in which Jane Doe, who was described as a model from the United Kingdom, was allegedly held against her will and coerced into providing sex and unpaid labor under false pretenses.

Doe claimed that she first met Glover in 2015 via social media and alleged that he made “strange advances” toward her. The two allegedly didn’t meet in person until several years later and Doe claimed that Glover “showed off several items of Nazi memorabilia from his collection.”

According to the complaint, Doe alleged that Glover “groomed” her by promising a fresh start in the entertainment industry through a business relationship with him.

The filing alleged he encouraged her to move from the U.K. to Los Angeles in 2024 with promises of a home and employment as his assistant. Once she arrived, Doe claimed she found herself in what the complaint described as a controlling situation, alleging that Glover monitored her movements and pressured her into serving as a live-in partner under coercive circumstances.

The complaint further stated that she relied entirely on his promises of financial support and housing.

In a statement provided to TMZ by his representative, Glover denied the allegations, stating, “Mr. Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms.”

In a separate statement provided to People, Glover’s representative added, “The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe.”

The statement continued, “These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr. Glover against Jane Doe at that time. Mr. Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief. He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication.”
