Austin – Local leaders have called for a lack of air traffic watchers throughout the country dangerous and destructive.
“I was part of the flying experience when I am trying to return to Austin and the pilot gets the microphone and say that we will be delayed from 30 to 45 minutes due to the problems at Austin Airport,” said mayor Vanessa Fuentes.
But the air traffic controller is not within the control of the city of Austin – this is the function of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
On Thursday, the Austin City Council approved a decision urging FAA to give priority to employees at the airport and do better in delivering the effects of short employment to the city in the actual time.
“And most importantly, it adds a site solution, so instead of just referring to a finger, we put a hand and look at the ways we can create the Austin Air traffic control
Fuentes hopes that the academy will be able to benefit specifically our airport.
She said: “If we stand to an academy, the first in our state that deals with the national deficiency, can we have this priority to get individuals who are going through training gets priority for our private airport.”
FAA KXAN told them that this is a priority for them as well. In July, the Federal Aviation Administration said it had witnessed the largest number of academy students in training in the history of the Federal Aviation Administration – 550 students by the end of the month.
The Federal Aviation Administration also informed that it had shaved more than five months of its administrative operation.
“Safety is the first priority for FAA. When there are restrictions on employment, FAA will adjust the air traffic control tower or facility employees to cover large -sized air traffic periods. We may also implement traffic management initiatives, such as air traffic slowing at the airport,” KXan.
