Austin ranked in top 5 cities for recent college grads to find a job, study says

Austin (KXAN) – New university graduates who enter the labor market can shoot the Austin Metro after it has been classified as one of the five best cities to find work, according to A new study by ADPSalary services provider.

Other cities in the first five places include Rally, North Carolina; Milwoki, Wisconsin; Baltimore, Maryland and Birmingham, Alabama. Austin was also included in the list of the best five last year, according to ADP.

Ben Hanwell, director of ADP Research Analytics, said that these cities “tend to have a higher concentration than usual for technology, health and finance.” The Wall Street Journal reported.

Austin 94 was ranked. The annual wage is estimated at about $ 58,404, with the cost of living 1.02 from the nation to the metro, which is an annual rate of cost capacity of $ 59,828 and an employment rate of 2,80, according to the ADP study.

ADP compares the metro areas by looking at 55 American metro areas with at least one million people and comparing them to three properties: annual wages, employment rates and the ability to afford costs.

WSJ said that Austin has been strong in the recruitment market due to the expansion of semiconductors, clean technology, AI and other technical industries.

“Although housing costs are still a problem, rents have almost 3 % decreased than last year, and the city council has committed to building more housing at reasonable prices, said Eric Hill, director of education policy and workforce in the Chamber of Commerce in Austin, told WSJ.

For years, the Austin region was one of the most desirable metro in the country when it came to real estate. Christopher Adams from KXAN is following home prices, as well as many other data points, to help buyers and sellers stay at the top of the markets on the market.
