Aurora, Colorado (KDVR) – The hot, dry and wind conditions were what Aurora Fire Rescue was against Saturday when a fire began near Denver International Airport.
At approximately 1:30 pm, AFR said they have received multiple calls about a brush fire located on the North Monaghan Road and East Avenue.
Afr told Fox31 that they responded quickly because they wanted to prevent the fire from spreading due to dry grass and open fields with weather conditions on Saturday.
“In such a situation with the great work that our crews have achieved at very quickly, so it did not really spread and became large and threatened structures,” said Samantha Hakrson, a spokesperson for AFR.
Multiple fire trucks were helping fire efforts, and about 2:30 pm, section I mentioned The fire was under control.
AFR said that the fire had burned about 3 acres, and the reason is under investigation at this time.
