Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, recently shared a sweet message for her after they enjoyed a day off in Rome during the 2025 Italian Open. The World No. 1 finished as the runner-up last year at the WTA 1000 clay court tournament, losing to Iga Świątek.
Sabalenka and Frangulis were first spotted together a year ago during the 2024 Madrid Open. Since then, Frangulis has been a constant presence at tournaments worldwide, supporting the Belarusian.
Sabalenka Spends Time in Rome With Boyfriend Georgios Frangulis
Sabalenka entered the 2025 Italian Open after an impressive Madrid Open campaign. She defeated opponents like Anna Blinkova, Elise Mertens, Peyton Stearns, Marta Kostyuk, Elina Svitolina, and Coco Gauff in the final to clinch the title. This win marked her third Madrid Open title, her ninth WTA 1000 title, and her 20th career WTA Tour title overall.
At the Italian Open, Sabalenka is the top seed and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She faced Anastasia Potapova in her opening match and emerged victorious with a dominant score of 6-2, 6-2 and advanced to the third round.
Following her win over Potapova, Sabalenka took to social media to share a series of photos of herself and a picture of her boyfriend, Frangulis, enjoying her “off day” between the matches at the tournament.
The World No. 1 was seen sporting a casual look, wearing a black blazer, denim pants, and a cap. She completed her stylish ensemble by accessorizing with minimal jewelry, a brown bag, and a watch.

Sabalenka Set To Face Sofia Kenin at the 2025 Italian Open 3R
Aryna Sabalenka is set to take on 31st seed Sofia Kenin in the third round of the 2025 Italian Open.
Kenin kicked off her run in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She secured a convincing victory over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-3, 6-0, earning herself a spot in the third round.
Sabalenka and Kenin have faced each other four times on the WTA Tour, with the World No. 1 emerging victorious in three of those encounters. Their most recent clash took place in the first round of the 2023 China Open, which Sabalenka won 6-1, 6-2.
The winner of the third round match between Sabalenka and Kenin will advance to face either 24th seed Leylah Fernandez or Marta Kostyuk in the fourth round of the 2025 Italian Open.
