Artist opportunities: Deadline approaches as Austin searches for artists to create public installations at AUS

Austin (KXAN)-Summoning all local artists: The city of Austin said it is looking for artists and teams led by artists to help cooperation, design, manufacture and install new general artistic opportunities.

According to the city, its artistic program in public places (AIPP) was looking to add artistic facilities around the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

The city said: “For dozens of millions of travelers, we will serve annually, technical facilities throughout the airport participate in the nature of Austin and the city’s vision for the future. With this vision expanding with the flight with the expansion of AUS airport, as well as our art.”

The artist’s requests must be submitted by March 31, according to the city.

These general technical opportunities are funded through airport revenues and revenue degrees, according to the city.
