Arapahoe County toddler infected with measles after recent international travel

Denver (KDVR) – has an uncomfortable child under the age of five who recently traveled to multiple international sites of the measles.

The child is still in the hospital, according to the Ministry of Public Health and Environment at Colorado, the Ministry of Public Health in Arabaho Province, the Ministry of Health in Adam District and the Children’s Hospital in Colorado.

“The patient is placed on the right isolation so that there is no risk of continuous exposure to patients and other families in the hospital,” CDPHE said in a statement. “CDPHE continues to urge Coloradans to have vaccination.”

Any person who is interested or was at the sites on the dates and times listed is required to monitor the symptoms for 21 days – or until June 17. If symptoms developed, health officials inform the members of the public to contact your health care provider immediately. If you do not have a provider, call an urgent care center or the emergency department and explain that you have been subjected to a group.

The connection to the front can help prevent the additional exposure to a very gastro -infection.

CDPH FOX31 was told in February that before 2025, the last confirmed case of measles was reported in the state in December 2023, and that measles in most time occurred in Colorado after traveling or in fortified societies.

About 93.7 % of Colorado children have MMR vaccination, which protects against measles, mumps, measles and a wheel. This is 95 % less than the target threshold for community immunity.
