Another dead whale found floating in SF Bay

SANA Francisco (Crohn) – The Mammary Mammary Center confirmed on Thursday that the Mitt whale is located in the Gulf of San Francisco last week. This is the sixth dead whale that the agency responded this year in the Gulf region.

The gray whale was found on April 30, floating near Treasure, according to TMMC. Scientists had the US Army Corps withdrew the 38 -footed dead whale to the Angel State Park, where an autopsy was performed on May 5.

Experts who suffer from TMMC and the California Academy of Sciences indicated that Cetacean was “in good condition for the body with no clear signs of shock, including no broken bones.” There was evidence of the last nutrition activity.

TMMC said on Thursday that the official cause of death was unable to determine it due to the state of advanced internal tissue decomposition.

The cause of death was not determined by everyone except for the gray whale that was found dead in the Gulf region. Wildlife officials said a gray whale was washed near Fort Point Rock Beach on April 4, who was killed by a possible ships.

The Mink whale in Emirville was eliminated on April 8, after they were triggered again and again in the mud during the tide of the low islands. Scientists did not specify what the abolitions caused in strands that led to the death of the sub -female.

The last gray whale that TMMC responded to at South Shore Beach in Alamida on April 21. He later decided that he was the same individual who was floating near the USS Hornet Museum a few days ago. An autopsy could have been performed on May 1. However, the state of decomposition means that the cause of death was not decisive.

TMMC said that nearly 30 individual whales were documented inside the Gulf of San Francisco in 2025. The number “is much higher” than it was in recent years.

On May 1, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a voluntary reduction in the speed of 10 ships off the coast of California. “The large ships that travel at 10 knots or less give whales more time to move to avoid the strike, reduce the death of the strike in the event of their occurrence, and the generation of noise in the ocean is less harmful and less air emissions,” said the American Coast Guard.

The audience is urged to report whales scenes in the Gulf region through the application Through the site of the marine mammals center.
