Angel Reese Has Something to Say About LSU Junior Mikaylah Williams’ New Management Deal

Former LSU star and current Chicago Sky standout Angel Reese is never one to shy away from celebrating the success of others, especially when it involves her alma mater.

This week, Reese shared her thoughts on her former LSU teammate Mikaylah Williams. She has a new management deal, a significant step forward for one of college basketball’s brightest young stars.

Angel Reese Reacts to Mikaylah Williams’ New Deal

Williams, who has quickly become the face of LSU women’s basketball following Reese’s departure for the WNBA, recently signed with LIFT Sports Management to help oversee her business partnerships and career opportunities.

LIFT calls itself a “premier athlete representation agency” that handles a college athlete’s NIL representation, Draft preparation and training, contract negotiation, and more. After the company announced the news on social media, Reese publicly voiced her support for the move.

“So happy this worked out! You are in great hands!!!!” Reese wrote. She tagged Gina Paradiso, an employee of the agency with whom she has worked closely, in the comment.

Williams responded, “Thank you!!”

“Good looking out 5,” read Paradiso’s comment below, insinuating that Reese may have introduced Williams to her trusted sports management agency.

In 2024, Reese told Complex that she started working with LIFT after her former agency told her she would never make over $2000 in NIL money.

Angel Reese’s LSU Ties and WNBA Legacy

Reese saw a somewhat tumultuous end to her second season with the Chicago Sky. The 23-year-old missed the last few games due to an injury. Moreover, she was benched for one half of a game despite averaging 14.7 points, a league-best 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals in 2025.

The suspension came after Reese made a comment about potentially leaving the Sky if her personal objectives no longer aligned with those of the team. Her stance did not sit well with the brass, and Reese was forced to face the consequences of her actions.

None of these left any mark on her off-court success. In September, as part of a multiyear endorsement, Reebok released her first signature shoe, the Angel Reese 1, in three colorways. The line sold out within minutes.

Last week, Reese announced she would walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15 in New York City. This will make her the first professional athlete to walk the prestigious brand’s runway.

Reese played a key role in transforming LSU into a national brand during her time under coach Kim Mulkey, and Williams appears to be following a similar trajectory. After a remarkable freshman year, Williams started all 37 LSU games in her Sophomore season in 2024-25, averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. She received an AP Honorable Mention All-American selection in 2025.

Williams shares a close relationship with Reese and even thanks her for instilling the confidence to be “unapologetically” herself.
