On Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, the Detroit Pistons faced off against the Charlotte Hornets, with the former winning 110-104. However, the match got embroiled in controversy when a fight broke out during the third quarter, leading to the ejection of four players.
The brawl began between the Pistons’ Jalen Duren and the Hornets’ Moussa Diabate. Despite staff members’ and other players’ efforts to intervene, the fight continued to escalate. Miles Bridges and Isaiah Stewart also got involved, intensifying the situation. The confrontation lasted more than 30 seconds and ultimately required a brief police presence on the court.
Reacting to the fight between the players of the Detroit Pistons and the Charlotte Hornets and the subsequent ejections of four players, Roddick’s wife, Decker, took to social media and expressed her support for the Hornets, who are nicknamed “Buzz City.” It’s worth noting that Roddick and Decker primarily reside in Charlotte, North Carolina, which is likely why the actress extended her support to the Hornets.
“Buzz City, Baby,” Decker captioned her Instagram story.

Roddick was ranked world No. 1 in singles in the ATP rankings, led the United States to victory in the 2007 Davis Cup, helping the American team defeat Russia 4-1 and claim their 32nd title, among many other accolades.
The former world No. 1 retired from professional tennis in 2012 after competing in the US Open, where he triumphed over Rhyne Williams, Bernard Tomic, and Fabio Fognini in the first three rounds, respectively, before losing to Juan Martín del Potro in the fourth round.
