Andy Cohen is clearing up rumors about the future of The Real Housewives of Miami after fans began speculating that the show might not be returning.
The concern started when cameras didn’t pick back up in February as many viewers expected. That delay quickly fueled online chatter that the franchise could be on pause or possibly canceled.
According to Cohen, however, a gap between seasons isn’t unusual in the Housewives world.
Speaking on Radio Andy, the Bravo executive addressed the speculation directly and explained that timing breaks happen across the franchise more often than fans might realize.
“I love Miami. I think we’re looking at how to keep it as fresh as possible and that’s kind of the only story,” Cohen said.
With multiple cities currently running in the Housewives universe, Cohen suggested that sometimes waiting is actually the best move creatively.
“You’ve got to remember. We have nine housewives going on right now. What you don’t want is something either sitting on this shelf for so long.”
Instead of rushing another season into production, he believes a little space can actually build excitement.
“I mean, I always think there’s a benefit in waiting, if there is no rush to get it in there air, I always think there is a benefit in waiting, and when it comes back everyone is always like oh my God, how great, it’s finally back.”
To show that Miami isn’t the only city that has experienced a delay, Cohen pointed to other franchises that had similar gaps between seasons.
“We’re about to pick up cameras for New York and that’s been, gosh, at least a year since that last reunion.”

Atlanta has also seen longer breaks at times.
“And there was a period between Atlanta seasons was that was a year or something like that so this happens sometimes in the Bravo sphere where there is a maybe a longer wait for news or maybe for something you want to know.”
“So that’s where were at right now,” Cohen concluded.
The Real Housewives of Miami has already had an unconventional journey compared to other cities. After originally airing on Bravo from 2011 to 2013, the show was revived years later on Peacock before eventually returning to Bravo again.
Since the reboot, the franchise has become one of the most talked-about shows in the Housewives lineup, known for explosive cast trips, high-stakes drama, and memorable reunions.
For now, Cohen’s comments suggest that the delay isn’t a cancellation — it’s simply Bravo taking its time.
