Denver (KDVR) – The American Red Cross in Colorado and Wyoming was helping the efforts made to deceive the forests in Rio Blanco, and it has opened shelters for those affected.
Two fires in the province, Lee and Elk fire burned more than 100,000 acres as of Saturday, which led to evacuation and evacuation in the area.
Fox31 had the opportunity to speak with John Seyard, a US Red Cross spokesman in Colorado and Woygg, about the efforts of the non -profit organization when it comes to currently burned forest fires in Colorado.
“We feed the first respondents so that they can focus on fighting fires, and we provide logistical support. We have opened shelters, one in Craig, one in Rangle, for those who cannot return to the home with the changing closed constantly. People, as you know, began to evaluate in different parts of the state, and we also support people there in rocks, and start evaluation.
The American Red Cross opened in Colorado and Woeing, the Red Cross shelters in Craig and Rangely this week for those who need a place to stay due to forest fires.
The organization provides a number of resources in shelters, including sleeping places, bathing, and food and health services.
“We had a noble man on the other day that needed a CPAP machine. He was at home. He could not go home, so working through such situations as we needed. Likewise, we also have our mental health service employees also for people who want to speak, feel a little tension, and we have these resources,” Cioard said.
Ciuar said that there is no shelter as a friend of pets. However, the organization works with a human community in the city of Craig and a shelter for animals in the town of Rangely, which can take care of the pets overnight.

Seoard also indicated that the shelters are open around the clock throughout the week for anyone who needs help.
