Amazing Spider-Man Movies Starring Andrew Garfield Find New Streaming Home – Jimmy Star’s World

After several Spider-Man movies were removed from Netflix earlier this year, the streamer is bringing two features back to its catalog: Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man

When will the Amazing Spider-Man movies stream on Netflix?

Netflix has recently unveiled its streaming roster for next month, featuring a slew of titles joining its extensive catalog. Among them are The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which are set to swing onto the platform on Monday, September 1. Unfortunately, other Spider-Man titles (including Sam Raimi’s trilogy and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) are not included in the roster.

The only Marvel features available on Netflix as of this writing are Venom: The Last Dance, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter. Other titles streaming on Netflix starting this September include Bridesmaids, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Orphan Black Seasons 1–5, Paddington, Billy Madison, Shrek 1–4, Sweet Home Alabama, Inglorious Basterds, Pokémon Concierge Season 1 – Part 2, Alice in Borderland Season 3, and more.

Both The Amazing Spider-Man films were directed by Marc Webb. In addition to Garfield as the titular web-slinger, the franchise — across its two movies — also starred Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Lizard, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, and Paul Giamatti as The Rhino, among others.

The first film performed well both at the box office and with critics, but the second failed to live up to its predecessor’s success, ultimately leading to the cancellation of The Amazing Spider-Man 3. While the third installment was scrapped for a variety of reasons, its underwhelming performance was a key factor.

Garfield and Tobey Maguire returned to reprise their respective Peter Parker roles in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which hit theaters in 2021.
