ASAN (KXAN) – The homeland of Austin’s independent province of schools said that students and families should expect to see the first boycott plan on unifying schools and border changes on Friday.
Although this imminent change has caused some parents’ concern for months, Matthias Sigura said that messages “every student in AISD or the families of these students in Austin will be launched in detailing what can be expected in this plan.”
In a video posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Segura explained why the boycott launch these details at 5:30 pm
“I know 5:30 on Friday is not the best time to receive such information, but let me be clear that it is very intended,” said Sigura. “We wanted to make sure that we created an area to interact with our principles and take these conversations one on one so that they could have a conversation with their employees on the campus at the end of the day on Friday.”
But what should parents expect next Friday?
The publication said that the message will indicate an overview of the boycott level, such as closing and border updates. You will also see details of a university campus and the interaction “What is my school?” tool.
A previous report at KXAN said:
In August, the boycott shared the data that shows universities with the largest number of open seats, and sets a goal that all universities reach at least 85 % of the academic year 2026-27.
AISD encourages students and affected parents to “spend time in the plan” in order to make notes.
The province added that the reactions during the next five weeks will help improve the plan before the final vote of the school council on November 20.
