(Crohn’s) – It was a beautiful day in San Francisco this weekend, as thousands of people flocked to the city for Fleet Week events, the Diplo Race and a concert in Golden Gate Park. The sun was out, but that would change for the start of the work week.
Rain is set to hit San Francisco and the greater Bay Area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The agency said that rain will fall on the area on Monday and Tuesday. The rain will “start to ease” on Wednesday.
There will also be a “good chance” Thunderstorms between Monday and Tuesday in the Gulf region. A map published by the NWS indicates a 25% chance of thunder.
Rainfall totals through Tuesday reach 2 inches in Napa (1.5 to 2 inches). According to Nuclear weaponsResidents of San Francisco, Livermore, Santa Rosa, Concord, San Jose and Cloverdale are expected to see between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain, respectively.
The NWS expects up to 3 inches of rain at higher elevations. With the possibility of thunderstorms NWS said “Moderate” weather risk.
