AFD investigating after 'abandoned structure' fire out in southeast Austin

Austin – Austin Fire Department said a fire had come out after the crew had responded to a report on a structure fire in southeast Austin on Monday. No injuries were reported, according to AFD.

The agency said on social media At approximately 7 pm, it responded to the 7800 Blog of Burleson to obtain a report on “Black Smoke from” Temple.

When the units reached the scene, they initially reported that it was “a residential structure on the fire and the residents who were sitting.”

At approximately 7:30 pm, AFD said that the fire had landed, and performed “multiple residences” and did not find anything.

The crews continued to search for “any additional fire” and said it was “ventilation of the structure.”

Shortly before 8 pm, AFD said that the fire had gone out, and the crews continued to “fully extinguish” the fire. Investigators went to the scene to determine the cause of the fire and damage.
