Abbott issues extension of FEMA assistance registration period for July 4th flood victims

Austin (KXAN) – The fourth of July affected July has an additional time to register for individual assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Governor Greg Abbott announced in a press statement on Tuesday an extension of the period of registration of FEMA. Individuals now have until September 28 to report damage and submit claims to Fema. The original date of the registration was September 4.

Burnet, Guadalupe, Kerr, Kimble, MCCOLLUCH, MENARD, San Saba, Tom Green, Travis and Willamson are eligible to obtain financial compensation for disasters through the FEMA individual aid program.
