ASAN (KXAN) – State Governor Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that he has two other tasks of the state legislative council during the current private session, which represents his third group of additions to the agenda of the session.
These topics call for:
- Legislation to prevent the public release of “unbroken complaints” against law enforcement employees, as well as “the information kept in the files of the Law enforcement agency”; and,
- Legislation related to “electoral procedures related to the acceptance of the voter with the title of residency is not currently and the immediate impact of the voter registration after receiving the registrar to change some of the title notifications.”
Abbott added other topics to the session on August 20 and Monday. Currently, the session contains 26 topics for legislators who must be taken into account, according to Legislative reference library in Texas.
The session started on August 15. It can reach 30 days. Abbott said before the session that he intends to continue to call the sessions until the legislative body passes his priorities.
“I will continue to contact the special session after a special session until we are going through the first Texas table,” Abbott said on August 12.
