Traverse City, Michigan (AP) – eleven people stabbed Wall Mart in Traffors on Saturday – with six in critical condition – while Sharif said in Michigan seems to be random work. The authorities said that the suspect was in detention.
Around 4:45 pm, a 42 -year -old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab 11, according to the Grand Traffers County Office in a social media statement. Sharif’s office said that within a few minutes, Sharif had arrived and took the man to reserve, and helped people in the store to arrest the suspect and treat the victims.
The victims were not released immediately.
“Eleven is a lot, but thank God it was not more than that,” Sharif Michael Xia told reporters.
Emergency vehicles and the first respondents in the parking lot at the shopping center, which includes many other retail stores. The authorities were also seen in conducting interviews with employees, who are still wearing a blue uniform jacket and signs of names, near the response, allowing the investigation.
Tiffany Deville, 36, who lives in honor, said about 25 miles (40 km) from Travors, that she was in the parking lot at the store when she saw chaos exploding around.
“It was really scary. My sister and I were just afraid,” she said. “This is something you see from movies. This is not what you expect to see your place.”
Monson Healthcare via social media said that 11 people were treated at the largest hospital in the region in northern Michigan. Megan Brown spokesman said all of them stabbed the victims. She said that six people were accountable and five were in serious condition late on Saturday.
Xia said that the weapon in question seemed to be a knife similar to folding. Xia said he was believed to be the suspect residing in Michigan, but he refused to share more details. Michigan State Police said earlier today that the suspect was in the custody of the authorities.
“Our thoughts with the victims and society are reeling from this brutal act of violence,” said Witzi, governor of the state.
Wall Mart said in a statement that he would continue to work closely with the application of the law in the investigation.
“Such violence is unacceptable. Our ideas with those who were injured while we are grateful for the first respondents,” the statement said.
The deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bonjino, said that the office officials were responding to “providing any necessary support.”
Travors is a place for a popular vacation on the coast of Lake Michigan. It is known for the cherry festival, wine factories and lighthouse, and it is about 25 miles (40 km) east Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
