Sources Claim Katie Ginella FIRED From RHOC After Being Iced Out of Cast Events and Feuding With Co-Stars!
Katie Ginella’s status on The Real Housewives of Orange County may be hanging in the balance as production continues on Season 19 of the long-running Bravo franchise.
According to a source who spoke with The U.S. Sun, Katie, 41, has been noticeably absent from several recent cast events — including the group’s May trip to Amsterdam — reportedly due to mounting tensions with co-stars Emily Simpson, 49, and Gretchen Rossi, 46.
“Reality TV doesn’t seem to be for her, but she has been trying and has amazing qualities too,” the insider said. “So I don’t know if she’s done for good or not. I would assume she won’t come back next season, and the decision will either be mutual or coming from the producers.”
Katie’s feud with Emily began in Season 18, when Katie’s daughter, Kaili — who had babysat for Emily — claimed to overhear Emily speaking negatively about Heather Dubrow, 56. The fallout from the drama carried into Season 19 and added to the speculation that Katie might be on the chopping block.
Though she ultimately returned for Season 19 alongside Shannon Beador, 61, Gina Kirschenheiter, 41, and Jennifer Pedranti, 47, tensions within the cast have reportedly only grown — particularly between Gretchen and Tamra Judge, 57.
Earlier this year, a dramatic blow-up during the cast’s trip to New Orleans allegedly prompted Tamra to walk off set.
“Tamra quit in the middle of the New Orleans trip with the girls,” a source previously told The U.S. Sun. “It was just after filming an emotional scene that turned into a heated discussion and then a shouting match with Gretchen and Shannon. Ultimately, Tamra can dish it but she can’t take it, which longtime viewers well know.”
“She’s overreacting and throwing a tantrum like a child because she isn’t getting her way,” the insider added. Meanwhile, another source told OK! Magazine that Katie has faced her own share of challenges this season, including being the target of explosive claims.
“It’s been a really hard season for Katie and the women have thrown some wild accusations against her,” the source said. “She’s been called a liar, but she’s 100 percent held her own and not relented.”
Fans are divided over Katie Ginella’s place on RHOC. Some feel she added little to the season and was brought on just to stir drama with Heather Dubrow. Others argue she deserves another shot, claiming she held her own and brought a fresh perspective. Supporters say a redemption season could show a new side of Katie the audience hasn’t seen yet.
Bravo has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
