Texas (KXAN)-American Senator John Corn, R-TEXAS, called on Monday to release Texas David Barnes, who was detained in Russia for more than four years, according to a press statement.
The call comes after the Russian prisoner Ksenia Carlina recently letter To President Donald Trump, he urged a safe return from Barnes and two other Americans who were detained by Russia.
Senator Corn said: “David Barnes, a Texas father of two children, was arrested in Russia for a very long time on charges that have already proven to be wrong …” Senator Corn said. “I urge President Trump and Minister Rubio to set the priorities of the efforts made to bring David and all Americans who have been incorrectly discovered around the world.
The statement stated, in 2015, Barnes was accused by his former sexual abuse of his two sons in Texas, one of which is Russian citizenship. Details also said that unreliable operation was found and no charges were charged against Barnes in the United States.
