Travis Kelce’s Mother Donna Reveals One True Gift Every Mom Wants On Mothers Day

The NFL world came together to celebrate Mother’s Day with players sending in heartfelt messages. Even grizzled veterans like Julian Edelman weren’t shy. However, the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis Kelce, took it a step further, inviting their mother to their podcast.

Donna Kelce, who’s been a regular at matches for both her kids, had a beautiful message to share for mothers around the world, while the two football legends spread the Mother’s Day joy around.

Donna Kelce Joins Jason and Travis Kelce on the Podcast

The two brothers hold one of the best sports podcasts in the world, the New Heights Show, and as a Mother’s Day special, they invited their mom onto the show. But before Donna Kelce said her piece, the two brothers argued about the validity of it as a real holiday.

While the Kansas City superstar was unsure, the Philadelphia Eagles legend and former NFL center had a clear idea. “F*** yes. It’s a recognized national holiday by pretty much every country in the world has their own version because there’s nobody more important in this world than mothers.”

Adding that “nobody would be here without one,” the focus turned back to the legendary tight end who posed a question for their mother. “What do moms really want on Mother’s Day?”

Donna Kelce, on her part, had a beautifully heartwarming message. “They wanna be with their children, which doesn’t happen often when they’re older. But basically, I think moms just wanna be around their families.”

In the NFL world, there are hard to find examples of mothers who don’t follow the Donna Kelce motto more than the woman herself. A regular for both her son’s games when the elder Kelce brother was still in the league, her support at games has continued.

At any Kansas City Chiefs game, the sight of Donna Kelce, usually flanked by Taylor Swift and other prominent family members of Chiefs players, can be seen in the suite box at Arrowhead Stadium.

With two sons, both in highly prominent positions for most of their adult lives on different NFL teams in cities far apart from one another, a family night with everyone around might not have been easily accessible for Donna Kelce.

So her response to the ultimate gift for all mothers made perfect sense.
