OPD credited with saving fan's life at Oakland Roots game

(Crohn) – The Oakland Police Administration is aware of three of its officers and a nurse for their quick thinking about saving a man’s life in a football match in Auckland in April. OPD said the man stopped breathing for about 10 minutes.

OPD said that officer M. Coper, officer M. Everttt and officer H. Jimnez were on a special task in the game. When the match ended, the officers noticed, “A man lying on the ground in the parking lot, does not respond or breathe.”

The police say that the officers have acquired the man for more than seven minutes and attended the game, who knew herself as a nurse, jumped to help.

OPD said that the man regained a pulse and began to breathe. Emergency respondents in the Auckland Fire Administration arrived shortly after and took the man to a local hospital for further treatment.

The time and date of the accident were not provided by OPD in a social media post.

“The actions of the officers reflect their dedication and willingness to respond quickly when every second is directed. This incident also highlights the cooperation between the first respondents and society during emergency situations.”
