Pewter Report’s Matt Matera and Scott Reynolds spoke with Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football reference to get his thoughts on the Bucs taking Egbuka in the first round. Just like us, it came as a surprise, but the more we thought about it, the more it made sense.

Our conversation also turned to what we should make of this receiver room. Will the Bucs give Evans slightly less reps to keep him healthy for the whole season? Is Chris Godwin going to be ready by Week 1. Even if the two stars have a great season, the Bucs at least understand they have an eventual starter and can wait a couple of seasons depending on everyone else. It’s a good spot to be for the Bucs.
