Eddie Hall recently admitted he won’t ever face Francis Ngannou in a professional MMA setting. Hall debuted in MMA at the recently concluded KSW 105, knocking out Mariusz Pudzianowski in the first round.
Ngannou, the former UFC Heavyweight champion, is currently with the PFL, where he is the Super Fight Heavyweight champion. He last fought at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants, defeating Renan Ferreira via TKO in the first round.
Fight Fans React to Eddie Hall’s Hesitance to Fight Francis Ngannou
Hall became famous after winning the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition. Recently, Hall transitioned into combat sports, competing in boxing against Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson in 2022, and recently against Mariusz Pudzianowski in MMA.
In a post-fight interview of KSW 105, where he knocked out Pudzianowski, a reporter asked whether Hall would fight Francis Ngannou next.
“I would rather get fuc**ed in the a** by the devil than fight Francis, and I’m not fighting Francis Ngannou. That’s not happening. No, that’s off. Let’s just, let’s just not even mention that name with my name. Not happening,” Hall replied.
Fight fans shared their feelings about the matter in the comments section of MMA Uncensored Plus’ Instagram post highlighting the news.
A fan praised Hall for keeping it real: “Eddie is a smart man. He knows his limits.”
Another fan pondered what would happen if the fight materialized: “Francis would take his face off lmao.”
“That’s too much, but Tuivasa would be a good one,” a third fan suggested a favorable opponent for Hall. Tai Tuivasa, currently ranked 10th in the UFC’s heavyweight division, is on a five-fight losing streak.
“Eddie is more than capable in the cage but against big Ngannou?” a fan pondered.
“Francis will kee him,” a fan predicted a potential outcome.
“Dana would make a open weight category just for Eddie,” a fan threw shade at the UFC CEO.

Ngannou won’t likely fight anybody anytime soon. Ngannou was allegedly involved in a motorcycle collision recently. Per reports, Ngannou’s vehicle hit a 17-year-old girl in Cameroon. The girl lost her life as a result of the crash.
Ngannou Shares Feelings on Fighting UFC Legend
UFC CEO Dana White is looking to make the biggest possible fight the promotion could make in the heavyweight division: Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall. The champion Jones has been hesitant to fight Aspinall, his interim counterpart.
However, the consensus is that the biggest heavyweight fight that could be made in MMA is Jones vs Ngannou. Turki Alalshikh, the GEA chairman, had expressed interest in seeing the battle.
In his recent appearance on The Ring Podcast, Ngannou was asked whether he would return to the UFC to make the fight against Jones happen. “Yeah, I can’t fight Jon Jones without being in the UFC. Those two are separated. They don’t have to be the same thing,” the 38-year-old replied.
As for his time in the promotion, Ngannou admitted he had a good time with the UFC despite the relationship ending unceremoniously.
