5 months later, Frontier is discontinuing nonstop service to Eagle County

Denver (KDVR) – In December, Frontier Airlines launched a service from Eagle County Regional Airport near Vail, and flight promotion to Dallas Fort Worth, Denver International and San Francisco International Adiapts.

The airline said when it announced its service at the airport that it will operate flights twice a week starting from December 19, 2024. This was the first time that the border has provided Eagle County Airport.

On Friday, Eagle Regional Airport announced that the border had informed the facility that stops to and from the airport, immediately. The decision was due to the continuous evaluation of the road profitation by Frontier, according to EGE.

“We are certainly disappointed by the Fronter’s decision to stop service at EGE,” David Reed, Director of Aviation, said in a statement. “They were a valuable partner, and we realize the importance of their low -cost options for our society. We are still committed to providing a variety of air service to the Eagle County and we will continue to explore opportunities with other airlines.”

It is not clear what this means for travelers who booked trips via Frontier to EGE after April. The airport advised customers to contact the airline directly to obtain reservation information.

In December, border airlines said there was “a strong demand throughout the country to travel very amazing to Rocky,” and said the advertisement coincides with the ski season.

On EGE, Frontier was distinguished as a “seasonal” airline, as it offers flights from Dia, DFW and San Francisco from December to April. United Airlines and US Airways EGE throughout the year, according to the EGE website.
