Another week and another new episode of Tracker is heading our way on May 4, 2025. Closer shares everything to know about the upcoming season 2, episode 19, which will hopefully lead Colter Shaw one step closer to finding out who killed his father.
Plot of Season 2, Episode 19, of ‘Tracker’ Is Revealed
Season 2, episode 19, of Tracker is called “Rules of the Game.” CBS released the synopsis of the upcoming episode a week ahead of its premiere.
“When Reenie’s client, Leo Sharf (recurring guest star Pej Vahdat), hires Colter to track down his missing assistant before his company launch, the case takes a personal turn and Reenie becomes entangled in a deadly vendetta threatening both of their lives,” the logline of the episode said.
Dory Shaw Will Be Making an Appearance in the Episode
In addition to seeing more of Pej Vahdat as Leo Sharf on Tracker, Dory Shaw, played by Melissa Roxburgh, will finally be making her return to the show as well.
“Colter’s sister, Dory, delivers a mysterious piece of the Shaw family’s past,” executive producer Elwood Reid said of the appearance, per TV Insider.
We’re pretty sure this is referencing the box of stuff that Dory has in her possession that once belonged to their dad. Colter was very interested to learn more about the contents inside after meeting with childhood pal Lizzy Hawking back in season 1. It’s a classic case of “What’s in the box?” and we are dying to know how it relates to Ashton’s death.
It seems like the contents of the box could hold some more answers about Colter’s father’s job and what really got him in trouble. Viewers have only been given small clues so far about what happened to Ashton Shaw. It’s likely that he was murdered but there are no prime suspects from Colter’s perspective just yet, as his older brother, Russell Shaw, said that he didn’t kill Ashton.
We also don’t yet know why Dory kept the box a secret from her siblings. This implies that there is something incriminating in there that she doesn’t want them to see or further investigate. But, we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out in the rest of season 2.
Melissa previously teased her return to the show, saying that it was a “short and sweet” appearance. However, she did not rule out appearing in season 3, which is set to premiere during the 2025-2026 broadcast season.
“But hopefully there’s more for the next season because I know they got another season,” she teased. “It’s more just building the relationship and setting up for whatever comes next with the siblings.”
Viewers also haven’t seen Russell in a little while, but Justin Hartley, who plays Colter, previously teased that scenes were being written for both of his onscreen siblings. So, we can probably expect to see Jensen Ackles, who plays Russell, at some point in season 3.
Justin hinted to The Hollywood Reporter that there’s definitely going to be some juicy things to look forward to in season 3.
“Of course, we have many more stories to tell. Now we’re in new territory. We have a couple of ideas,” he said earlier this month. “One of these is that Colter has all of these skills; he’s a survivalist and he knows how to be alone, and he knows how to find people and he’s gifted in that regard. He’s a great listener.”
