Milwoki – Hana Dogan, Milwoki’s judge accused of helping a man who evades immigration authorities, is known to run the strict court hall while he was familiar to society, especially in religions.
Dogan’s arrest while on her way to work in the Milwoki Provincial Court, led to her jump to the national battle between the Trump administration and the judiciary over immigration policies. She was briefly at the Federal Court later on Friday before release.
The FBI director, Cash Patel, announced the transition on social media, saying that Dogan was “increasingly dangerous for the public.” He claims that the judge allowed Eduardo Flores Ruiz and his lawyer to leave the courtroom through the jury on April 18 to help avoid his arrest, according to the FBI certificate. Flores Ruiz was detained outside the court after the agents repelled him on foot.
Flores Ruiz, born in Mexico, was in court to attend a hearing after he was accused of three charges of a local misdemeanor battery.

Cash Patel said that the FBI arrested the Melocoki Provincial Court by Hana Dogan, claiming that he had helped an undocumented immigrant to “arrest.”
Here is what we know so far about Dogan and the issue against her:
Dogan is a general figure in Milwoki
She was a judge in the Milwaukee District Court since the defeat of one of the current appointments of the former Republican Governor Scott Walker in 2016. She ran without opposition in 2022, and her current term ends in 2028.
Tom Barrett, a former member of Congress and 17 -year -old milluki mayor, said he was a friend of Dogan’s older sister in high school and Dogan, 65, has known 12 years old.
“As a person and a judge, she always tries to do the right thing, and she deeply cares about society, people and justice,” said Barrett.
“She is always at every presentation on behalf of the judges. She is in the events of religions. Her faith is very important for her,” said Ann Jacobs, a lawyer for showing a personal injury and a democracy of the Wisconsin election committee.
Dogan was a lawyer for litigation and filed administrative positions in the legal procedures of Wisconsin and Legal Aid Society Inc.
As a lawyer, the legal fields focused on the elderly and disability, civil rights, home abuse and others, according to the LinkedIn page.
Dogan was the president of the Milwaukee Bar Association from 1999 to 2000 and worked for three years as CEO of Catholic charitable societies at Southheastin Wissonsin Inc.
It was final in the most trusted public category in the best competition in Milwoki in 2021 at Shepherd Express, an alternative source of news.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1981, where she also obtained a certificate in law in 1987, Dogan taught law and graduate students at Marquit University in Milwoki.
Lawyers call the judge “Melast” in the courtroom
Lawyers who appeared before Dogan describe it as very difficult but fair.
“She is sticking to the procedures,” said Giulius Kim, a criminal defense lawyer at Milwoki. “It is fair. Certainly, I don’t think it’s easy, anyway. It is very methodological in its approach.”
Kim said that Dogan takes her job seriously.
“In terms of hardness, she has a certain way to want things to court,” he said. “In terms of her sentences, comments, how to deal with opponents, I think it is fair.”
The signal, which was published on the door of the courtroom in Dogan on Friday, advised that if he is a lawyer or another court official, “he knows or believes that the person feels insecurity coming to the court” or the courtroom, he must notify the writer and request an appearance through enlargement.
Dogan previously found herself involved in a political battle in 2023, when she rejected a lawsuit for a Republican party that argued that Milwoki’s vote voltage was illegal.
The FBI says Dogan helped a man to avoid ice
The FBI took the seizure of the court – the same building that federal immigration agents entered last week in search of Flores Ruiz.
Flores Ruiz has been removed from the United States via Arizona for more than a decade, and there is no evidence that he had obtained permission to return, according to the written statement.
The fingerprint match of immigration and customs officers prompted us to go to the court and wait outside the courtroom while it appears.
After learning the agents there, Dogan became “clearly angry”, according to the linear benefit. She and another judge called them in the hallway and sent them to the Judges’ Office. Dogan then returned to the courtroom and entered Flores Ruiz and his lawyer through the jury door, according to the written statement.
The defendants who are not detainees and their lawyers never use this door.
This was claimed by Flores Ruiz to leave the building using an elevator.

What does Dogan say about allegations?
Nothing yet.
“The judicial behavior law restricts judges from commenting on suspended or imminent matters in any court,” said Karl Ashley, chief judge in the province.
Mayor Cavalier Johnson, a democratic, said the arrest was “clearly the noise than he was maintaining our society.”
Ice agents are arresting in the courts
Under the directives issued on January 21, employees and agents may implement immigration enforcement procedures in the courts or near them if they believe that someone trying to find it will be there.
They are generally required to allow their internal legal office to know early to ensure that there are no legal restrictions, and they are supposed to carry out enforcement procedures in non -public areas whenever possible, coordination with the court’s security and try to reduce the impact on court operations. They also have to avoid doing this in places that are not used in criminal procedures, such as the Family Court.
Immigration advocates say that the ingredient to enter the courts illegally scares the victims of the crime and witnesses in the country.
ICE says that in societies that do not notify the agency when prisons or prisons are deported immigrants, they must find other ways to track them. ICE also says that court arrests are usually safer for agents because people there have generally searched for weapons.
What happens after that?
Dogan has the history of the court on May 15, this time as a defendant.
Outside the court on Friday, dozens of demonstrators gathered to support Dogan. Some have warned that the judge’s arrest may discourage people from reporting a crime or even reporting a fire for fear of holding themselves.
“These measures aim to be transparent to be cruel, cruel and undermine the rule of law,” said Melinda Brennan, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union in Wisconsin.
“Nobody is above the law, and even the judges.”
But the Republicans of the State Association, where they have control over the majority, said in a statement that the charges against Dogan are “dangerous and disturbing, and beaten at the heart of general confidence.”
