Who Are Tyler Warren’s Siblings?

Warren comes from a family full of athletes. He was born to Sandy and Terry Warren on May 24, 2002. His dad, Terry, played college football at Richmond from 1987 to 1990. His mom, Sandy, was a sorority sister of Andrea McSorley, the mother of former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley.

Tyler is one of three siblings. He has a brother named TJ and a sister named Kelly. Kelly appears to be the oldest of the three, having attended East Tennessee State from 2018 to 2022, while Tyler started college in 2021.

Kelly carried on the family’s athletic tradition by playing softball in college—something their dad has said he’s especially proud of. Athleticism runs deep in the family: Tyler’s aunt, Tracey George, played soccer at the University of Delaware. His grandfather played football at Wake Forest, and his grandmother played basketball at Carson-Newman.

Tyler Warren’s College Career and 2025 NFL Draft Projection

Warren grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and was a star at Atlee High School. He could do just about everything on the football field—catch, run, pass, block, even long snap. A three-time team captain and a two-time team MVP, he also earned All-State and all-region honors. ESPN ranked him as a four-star recruit coming out of high school.

His athletic talent wasn’t limited to football. Warren was a three-time All-Region basketball player and an All-State baseball selection in Virginia.

He originally committed to Virginia Tech as a quarterback during his junior year but began to consider playing basketball in college. Eventually, he decided to shift focus to tight end and reopened his football recruitment. Two months later, he committed to Penn State in August 2020.

After playing in just two games as a freshman, Warren worked his way up in a talented tight end room that included Pat Freiermuth, Brenton Strange, and Theo Johnson—all now in the NFL. Even as a backup in 2023, he earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors.

In 2024, he started all 16 games and helped lead the Nittany Lions to a College Football Playoff semifinal. He finished second in the FBS in receptions and seventh in receiving yards, earning First-Team All-American honors from the Football Writers Association of America and Second-Team honors from CSN. Over his career, he appeared in 56 games.

PFSN’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft has Warren going No. 7 overall to the New York Jets.

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar calls him “the ultimate Swiss Army knife.”
