What’s not to love about the Bucs offense going into the 2025 season? Every starter from last season is back. It’s the third season with Baker Mayfield, who only played better with more chemistry with his teammates, plus Tampa Bay has a young budding group of players that already saw standouts like Graham Barton and Bucky Irving.
All that’s changed for the Bucs is having a new offensive coordinator with Josh Grizzard, but he was already here last year as well. The Bucs are coming off of a season where they were top five in yards per game , passing yards, rushing yards and most importantly, points per game.
Bucs May Have The Best Offense In NFL

With the same group in tact for another season there’s no reason the Bucs can’t be even better this time around. It’s a reasonable possibility that they could be the best in the league.
“I mean, I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t be the best offense in the league,” tight end Devin Culp said speaking at the beginning of the offseason program. “Last year, statistically-wise, we were top five in a lot of categories, and I think as we step into this next year together, there’s just going to be even more camaraderie, even more trust, and just even better chemistry and feel for how we want to play the game with one another. I think there’s no reason why we couldn’t be at the top.”
Devin Culp Getting Ready For Year Two
Culp may not be a Bucs’ household name like Barton, Irving, or even his former Washington teammate, Jalen McMillan, but he’s certainly a player that’s progressing in the right direction. Culp, a seventh round pick from a season ago, had some opportunities at tight end towards the end of the season and made the most of it.
He only had 41 total offensive snaps but was given playing time during the last two games of the regular season when starter Cade Otton was out. Culp made three catches for 52 yards in Week 17 against the Panthers and another two catches for 36 yards at home facing the Saints.
Culp is looking to build on what he did at the tail end of the year going into this season. This offseason has been entirely different going into year two without having to deal with the draft process. It’s reset his focus on how attack this upcoming year.

“It’s definitely nice,” Culp said. “You get to feel like you have a little more breathing room. Obviously, I already got picked by a team, so I’m not worried about that part of it. Now I can just focus on my skills and my craft, getting bigger, faster, stronger. I had a few clips that I can go off of, but you know, I’ve been watching a ton of Cade [Otton] and a few other tight ends from around the league, so I’m just trying to get better in any [way] that I can.”
He also gave a lot of credit to Bucs tight ends coach Justin Peelle and assistant tight ends coach Jeff Kastl for their help in his development as an NFL player.
“I love my guys in the room,” Culp Said. “I have a lot of love and respect for Coach [Justin] Peele, Coach [Jeff] Kastl because those guys, they preach it to me. They saw the times where I was maybe a little down because I just wanted to play but they just always were constantly reminding me each and every day, ‘Stay consistent, stay consistent. Stay in your routine. Stay ready, stay ready, stay ready.’ Eventually, when I had the opportunity, I was able to do what I did with it.”
