It appears as if Easter wasn’t all about sweets, Easter bunnies, and ham with all the sides for the 66-year-old as she celebrated the holiday in the UK.
Madonna is the proud mother of six children: Lourdes Rocco, David Banda, Mercy James, and 12-year-old twins, Stella and Estere. Madonna adopted David, Mercy, and her twins from Malawi.
In March, the “La Isla Bonita” singer spoke to People Magazine, in an exclusive interview, talking to the outlet about her return with her twins to the African country for the first time in eight years. “The girls have a lot of empathy for vulnerable children in need of life-saving medical care and they are very grateful to be living in a country where medical care is readily available for people,” she told the outlet.
She added, “We are so much closer because we have a common goal, and that is making Malawi a better country for kids to grow up.”
When she’s not jet-setting around the globe, Madonna devotes her time to being a hands-on mom, cheering from the sidelines at her twins’ soccer games, attending her son’s art exhibitions, etc., showing unwavering support for everything that all of her children pursue.
In the opening of a now-deleted Instagram post, Madonna’s simple yet profound words, “We are born into families and we create our own, ”beautifully capture the essence of chosen connection, a sentiment that deeply resonates with the spirit of the holiday she was celebrating.
