KDVR – Hundreds of people descended in the CIVIC Center on Sunday for the Mile High 420 festival, and the Ministry of Transport in Colorado took the opportunity to try to make people safe after smoking throughout the day.
“Everyone had heard driving the driving message for decades, but they did not hear about the weakness of the driving message with hashish for a very long time, so we cut our work for us,” said Sam Cole, CDT Traffic Safety Director.
In their kiosk, CDT showed Uber’s balances and safety information for anyone who stopped. Cole says you should wait from six to eight hours after smoking before you stand behind the steering wheel.
“Many people do not know that you can get the only identity document to lead it on hemp,” he said.
Cole said he encouraged most people to have a plan to return home safely.
“According to our surveys, 20 % of cannabis users do not plan. 80 % of people do it,” Cole said.
Estevon Loveato is an annual visitor visitor and always knows how to return home after that.
“DD. This is my driver there.”
He said that staying outside the roads is not only for his well -being.
“The safety of others.” Lovato said. “I am working in the medical field, so I care about it, for it, everyone. I want them to go home safe, I want to go home safe.”
CDT agrees and hopes that everyone will make the right decision, not only on the festival day, but every day.
“There are many ways to return home safely, whether it is a taxi, or a ride sharing, whatever it is,” Cole said. “Just not get behind the wheel.”
CDOT publishes safe driving tips through other methods as well, even partnership with local clinics to give this information directly to the public.
