The officials confirmed that a victim of stabbing in Oxenard was rescued by blood transfusion in California at all.
The crews responded to the Ventura County Fire Department, along with the firefighters and police in Oxenard, for stabbing reports on Thursday. Officials did not immediately say the time or where the appeal occurred.
Once in the scene, the crew found that the victim of the appeal was unconscious and had unstable vital signs. The identity of the patient has not been revealed from Saturday night.
While transferring the victim with serious injuries to a medical center, VCFD said that the paramedics quickly prepared and managed a unit of blood-which represents the first blood transfusion process before the hospital.
“The response was fast and effective,” the administration said in a statement. “The patient’s vital signs in the road improved: natural signs of the skin, the patient regained consciousness and was able to speak to the crew.”
“All of them work together to bring this advanced ability to save life to this field,” said VCFD.
The relevant agencies included VCFD, the Medical Emergency Services Agency in Vinterora Province and the Fentora Medical Province Center.
“The pioneering use of field transport has already shown the potential for life,” said VCFD. “Vintera province is proud to present the way to set a new standard for shock care throughout California.”
