Denver (KDVR) – Do you prevent a sign of the pump that tells you about climatic and healthy effects from buying the next tank of gasoline?
Will you at least make you think about it?
This is what the legislators in Colorado state are discussing a draft law, HB25-1277, increased effect of transparency for fuel productsThis will require retailers who sell or offer for sale some fuel products to provide information to consumers about the effect of fuel consumption. The bill requires, as written, fuel stations to name fuel products with a phrase:
Warning: The use of this product releases air pollutants and greenhouse gases, known in Colorado state as related to significant health effects and global heating, respectively, according to Article 25-5-1603, the tampering with CRS with this poster is a violation of Article 18-510, CRS.
A proposed statement to be presented to some fuel products
The stickers will be required on fuel products, either in the pump or on the container, starting from July 1, 2026. The stickers should be printed with black ink on a white background, and in the smaller type of 16 points, and displayed on the “clear” site. Any marks should be treated within 45 days of notification, or that the seller will be violated with Fair trade practices in Colorado.
Supporters of the scale voted 33-30 to pass the procedure to the Senate on Thursday, where he was appointed to the Transport and Energy Committee for discussion.
The fuel that will be classified under the invoice is any gas or liquid that is produced by treating raw oil, liquid hydrocarbons in the natural gas factory, and the petroleum products ending in mixing facilities and converting biomass into biofuels, such as ethanol.
Last month, MP John Joseph, one of the main sponsors of the draft law, was chosen to serve as the state’s progress in Colorado for the National Rally of Environmental Procedors. The assembly aims to create a legislative change to combat environmental challenges.
Joseph said that the gathering was among what inspired it to take over more environmental bills.
Joseph said in a statement from NCEL: “Now more than ever, as we see the federal government working to erode our environmental sustainability, it is important for countries to rise and lead,” Joseph said in a statement from NCEL. “Colorado has always been at the forefront of environmental policy, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to enhance innovative solutions that protect our natural resources, combat climate change, and ensure a sustainable future for all.”
Environmental activists and al -Daqnam also praised the management on March 7, saying that putting accurate marks “is very important” to ensure consumers receive accurate information about the environmental effects of their fuel options.
