Riley Green left bleeding after fan hurls phone at country star onstage during concert

Riley Green was left bleeding after a disgruntled fan threw a phone at him on stage.

In a video posted on social media, the country music star was surprised while performing at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, Australia, when a phone was suddenly thrown from the crowd, hitting the musician in the ear.

A shocked Green paused the show and asked his crew to turn on the house lights in an attempt to identify the pitcher. With the help of the audience, Green pointed at the fan and escorted him out of the show.

“This guy here? Get his fat out of here. Keep going,” Green said.

After the fan was escorted off the field, Green – who was unaware of his injury – thanked his fans for their support.

“I would like to take a moment while I have everyone’s attention to thank each and every one of you for coming tonight,” he said. “Wait, am I bleeding? Can you see how strong I am? Thank God he didn’t have an iPhone 12, that would have really hurt.”

After the show, Green gave his fans an update on social media.

He wrote on his Instagram account: “After 5 stitches… I sewed.”

Earlier this month, Green spoke with Fox News Digital about why he would choose his life in Alabama over continuing his career at Tennessee.

“I feel like I had every reason in the world to move to Nashville, and it never occurred to me. I love my farm in Alabama, and it’s where I get all my inspiration for songs from,” he said.

“Life moves a lot slower over there,” Green added.

“When I have a day off and I’m on my farm, I do as little as possible,” Green said. “but, [I] Definitely get on the tractor and do some mopping up and– I got the pops out of there to help me work on the farm. I have a lot of animals and dogs and we kind of take things easy.

Green makes his acting debut in the Luke Grimes-led “Marshals” film “Yellowstone.”

Speaking to Fox News Digital at the premiere, Green said his nerves were shattered when he walked onto set for the first time, and that couldn’t compare to getting on stage.

“Oh, more nerve-wracking. I don’t get nervous getting on stage anymore. I’ve played enough shows now, it’s kind of normalized, but this was a whole different world, and this isn’t my set, it’s not my stage. I’m kind of the new guy in that set, so it was definitely nerve-wracking,” he said.
