Jennifer Tilly is opening up about where things stand with Sutton Stracke after some awkward moments during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15.
During a March 12 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer admitted she was surprised when Sutton chose not to room with her on the cast trip to Italy. The two have been close friends for years, which made the decision unexpected.
“I was really shocked,” Tilly admitted.
According to Jennifer, Sutton actually called her ahead of the trip to explain the situation. Producers suggested they share a room again, but Sutton didn’t think it was fair.
“Sutton called me up, and she goes, ‘Jennifer. Boz said that we need to share a room. I said it’s not fair. We shared a room in St. Lucia. We shared a room in Sedona. And we shouldn’t always have to share a room just because we’re friends.’”
Jennifer said she understood Sutton’s reasoning once she explained it.
“And I said, ‘I agree. And if there’s 10 rooms and one of them has two beds, I guarantee you it’s the kids’ room, and they’re gonna be twin beds.’”
Still, Jennifer joked that Sutton might also have another reason for wanting a different roommate.
“Also, I don’t think she likes sharing a room with me because I’m messy,” she admitted.
She even compared the way their room looked during a previous trip.
“Like, in St. Lucia, our room looked like Harvey Two-Face. Like, one of them’s really nice and fabulous, and the other half looked totally f—ed up.”
Jennifer also shared that she has noticed Sutton trying to evolve this season, including her decision to start going by her maiden name, Brown.
“I think Sutton Brown is such a good idea,” Jennifer said.
According to Jennifer, the change reflects Sutton’s effort to grow and think more before speaking.
“But Sutton Brown and Sutton Stracke are actually the same person. But Sutton Brown thinks a little before she speaks. So I think overall it’s been a success.”
Jennifer also had some playful advice for her friend as Sutton jumps back into the dating world.
“I think she needs to show off the goods when she goes on a date. She has goods,” she joked. “We’ve all seen them.”
“Little low cut, little cleavage here, show a little bit of leg. Yes. Dab some pheromones behind her ears.”
Despite the recent awkward moments, Jennifer made it clear that their long friendship is still intact. Sutton previously revealed the two have been close for more than a decade.
“Jennifer Tilly is one of my best friends for over 10 years,” Sutton said during an earlier season of RHOBH.
Their bond has even led to some memorable travel mishaps — including one very unusual airplane moment.
“I did put one of her salted caramels in my ear on an AirFrance flight,” Sutton once admitted. “I thought it was the earplugs and they were stuck in my ears.”
Eventually, Jennifer helped her realize what had happened.
“And then she said, ‘Was that the salted caramel I gave you?’ I said, ‘Yes it was.’”
Looking back on the moment, Sutton laughed.
“I don’t know. We’re so stupid together.”
