Lisa Rinna is opening up about how she clashed with Jack Wagner during their time on Melrose Place.
The actress, 62, portrayed Taylor McBride in Aaron Spelling‘s soap opera from 1996 to 1998, but she and Wagner, 66, didn’t always get along.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Rinna writes in her memoir You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, “I had to make out with two different guys in back to back scenes.”
“Thomas Calabro, who played Dr. Michael Mancini, and Jack Wagner, who played Dr. Peter Burns. That was a first and a last,” she explained, per the outlet. “Jack and I butted heads a lot. While he was singing, ‘All I Need,’ all I needed was for him to stop bossing me around and controlling me.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum claims her relationship with Wagner changed after she spoke out when they were preparing a scene.
“We were in a trailer rehearsing one day when I had had enough and barked at him, ‘Don’t f*** with me.’ It worked. He backed off,” she writes. “I gained back my respect by sticking up for myself, and he never did it to me again. Jack was so nice to me from that day on.”
Wagner isn’t the only former costar Rinna calls out in her new book: As Closer previously reported, she also opens up about her worst working experience in the early 1990s on the set of Days of Our Lives.
Rinna, who starred as Billie Reed in the soap opera, insisted Robert Kelker-Kelly — who played her on-screen love interest Bo Brady — was horrific to work with.
According to the Daily Mail, she wrote in the memoir: “Behind-the-scenes we hated each other. Remember when Kathy Hilton said I was the biggest bully in Hollywood? Not true. Not even close! I have legit stories about the real bullies in this town. Robert Kelker-Kelly is one of those bullies.”
“He made my life a living hell on the set of Days. He was horrible to me,” the Traitors star writes, per the outlet. “I’d go so far as to say verbally abusive. He was passive aggressive, manipulative, and played weird mind games.”
“I had to work with him every day, often half naked to do love scenes. If I didn’t do what he wanted, he’d give me the silent treatment,” she continued. “He was a ticking time bomb. I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable and it was exhausting.”
You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It is out now.
