You’d be forgiven if you missed one of last week’s hottest parties, held semi-secretly inside a three-story space still under construction in Tribeca, where hard hats haven’t quite given way yet to hand towels. The guest list was carefully curated, and the evening itself was remarkably phone-free by design, resulting in an evening grounded in the present, convivial, unconventional and characterized by rare discretion. Upstairs, the mood was salon-like and conspiratorial and conversation ran like cocktails. Downstairs, on the since-demolished pool deck, the property was dissolved; The empty pool, four and a half feet below ground level, became, for one night only, the city’s most exclusive dance floor.

This was SCHWET, a new bathroom concept, in the making.
