Karl-Anthony Towns Reacts To New York Knicks Signing 4-Year NBA Veteran

On Wednesday evening, the New York Knicks crushed the 76ers (in Philadelphia) by a score of 138-89.

Following the game, the team made a roster move by signing former first-round pick Jeremy Sochan.

Via ESPN’s Shams Charania: “Free agent forward Jeremy Sochan plans to sign with the New York Knicks after he clears waivers, his agent Deirunas Visockas of Gersh Sports tells ESPN. Sochan had 10 interested suitors after being released from the Spurs on Wednesday and landed on the Knicks as his new team.”

Sochan was the ninth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Baylor.

He is currently averaging 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 47.5% from the field and 25.7% from three-point range in 28 games.

The Knicks are among the best teams in the NBA, and are coming off a year where they reached the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since the 2000 season.

Following the 76ers, they will play their next game on February 19 when they host Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons.

As for Towns, he was the first pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.

He is in his second season playing for New York.

Right now, the All-Star forward is averaging 19.8 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 35.1% from three-point range in 51 games.

Prior to the Knicks, Towns spent the first nine seasons of his career playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
