Mario is embracing life as a new dad!
The singer took to his Instagram Stories on Monday to post a photo of himself gazing tenderly at his newborn son.
In the image, the singer stands with both hands on a stroller’s handle as he looks down at his baby, who is facing him.
He paired the photo with a caption about how fatherhood has already changed him.
“Staring at you because I love you soo much and I didn’t even know I could love like this without question! You make me better already. You just helped me break a cycle that only God could sever! Thank you Lord!” he wrote.
Mario and his girlfriend, Esmeralda Rios, welcomed their son earlier this year. He announced the news on Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan. 26, sharing a selfie taken while he was dressed in blue medical scrubs.
Over the image, he revealed that his son had arrived. He also used the moment to express gratitude and admiration for women.
“Women are God’s greatest creation cuz what I witness today was ONLY GODS work! Healthy baby boy!” he wrote.
The birth followed Mario’s pregnancy announcement in late August, when he shared a photo showing his hand resting on Rios’ baby bump.
“It’s a whole universe in there! 🥹 I can’t wait,” he wrote at the time.
Before becoming a father, Mario spoke about his thoughts on parenthood during a 2023 interview with V-103 Atlanta.
“I don’t take having kids lightly,” he said. “Everybody I know [has] kids. Some of my friends [that are] younger have kids, some of my friends [that are] older have kids, and it comes with a lot of pros and cons. And I also grew up without a father. So, I want to do it right when I do do it. You know, I got time. So, I’m not rushing into that.”
