(Crohn)-A woman from Campbell accused of a wrong accident on the 280th Highway in 2023 was rejected that killed a mother and the mother of the mother was injured to transfer mental health in the case last week, according to the San Matteo County Lawyer Office.
The 26 -year -old Contestian Martin has admitted that she is not guilty of wrongful killing in vehicles and running deaths, among other accusations related to deadly collision on April 22, 2023, in Wodeside.
Last week, on March 28, Judge Susan Jacobovsky decided that “while there are treatments that can treat the defendant’s symptoms,” DA office wrote, “The history of the previous defendant shows a frequent failure to comply with the treatment conditions and there was a shortage of a sufficient treatment plan provided by the defense.” The judge denied the defense proposal.
Prosecutors said that Martin was driving the Ford Fujen Fujin 2010 in the lanes south of I-280 at 2:38 pm when it collided with a face with the black SUV 2019 BMW driven by Aden Palmer, 54, from San Francisco, near the Wodside road. Palmer, the deceased, announced the scene of the accident, and her 16 -year -old son, who was riding in the back seat, suffered from major injuries.
After the accident, the prosecutors said Martin fled. It was California’s highway officers who found her “naked lying in a herbal area 150 years away,” according to the DA office.
Prosecutors wrote that the officers noticed “their red and water eyes, quick speech and wrong behavior.” DA office said that Martin rejected the sobriety tests before her arrest, after which a blood sample was taken.
Prosecutors wrote that the blood sample showed that Martin had marijuana in its system “but there is no other drug.”
Martin returned to the court on Thursday morning to set a date before the trial. A pre -trial conference was appointed on May 12. Martin is still in prison without guarantee.
