San Francisco (CrohnFor some time now, San Francisco Market Street was in downtown San Francisco outside the border of private vehicles and Rideshare vehicles. But now, there is a renewed talk about opening it again.
Since the beginning of 2020, Market Street has been in the center of San Francisco as a home to public crossing, taxis and commercial vehicles. But now, there is a batch between market street companies to allow private vehicles and Rideshare companies to return to the market.
Jennifer Bilchtein is the CEO of the American Institute theater. Act’s Strand Theater is located on the market.
“We would like to reopen Al -Souk Motor Street,” said Bilstein.
Joy OU, the real estate developer, agrees to the so-called car car, free of car, makes it difficult for people to return to the area and to the company’s compatibility after Covid-19.
He said, “If you have to go down on the back side of the theater, you must walk around the mass.” “These are now difficult areas because there is not enough people, traffic, so we need to return them.”
In February, Ou was part of a group that met Mayor Daniel Laurie to encourage him to embrace cars not only in the market but also improving public safety and creating tax incentives as part of a comprehensive plan to stimulate the market in the middle of the market.
However, Christopher White says with a bike alliance in San Francisco that returning cars on Al Souq Street is not the solution.
“We need to make it a better place for people to come and walk to the rest. We don’t need to re -introduce cars,” said White. “Before removing cars from Al -Souk Street, it was not safe for people who ride bicycles or motorbike riding, but it was not safe for people who walk, and people who take the crossing.”
Kron4 arrived at the mayor’s office for comment, but they said they had nothing at this time.
