Hollywood's little known porn star walk of fames

Along one of Los Angeles’ most popular tourist attractions, the 18-block Hollywood Walk of Fame, a project launched in the 1950s, is another little-known monument dedicated to porn stars who once worked in the shadows of the Hollywood studio system.

One of these “celebrity porn complexes” literally bumps up the Hollywood Walk of Fame outside of Hustler Hollywood, a lingerie and sex toy store opened by the late Hustler Magazine founder Larry Flint.

The lesser-known Porn Walk of Fame is located at the corner of Hollywood and Schrader Streets, and displays the handprints of Larry and his brother Jimmy Flynt, Marilyn Chambers, Ginger Lynn, and Jenna Jameson.

Outside the other Hustler store, located at 8873 Sunset Blvd., handprints of porn stars Randy Spears and Nina Hartley can be seen. The store was originally located at 8920 Sunset Blvd. More porn star handprints have reportedly surfaced, though Gwyneth Paltrow bought the property around 2016 and the store was forced to move, according to Laist.

And just over a mile and a half away, at 7734 Santa Monica Blvd., home of the now-defunct Pussycat Theater that later became a short-lived club known as Studs, “Deep Throat” star Linda Lovelace’s handprints can be seen, as well as those of John Holmes, Harry Rem, Eric Edwards, and Georgina. SFGATE reported.

It should be noted that Lovelace, before her death in 2002, disavowed the infamous film “Deep Throat,” and publicly claimed that her husband at the time, Chuck Trainor, forced and threatened her to participate in the film.

As for Ron Jeremy, who has become a touchstone of popular culture, appearing on numerous reality shows and portraying himself in an episode of the animated series “Family Guy,” in addition to appearances on “Chappelle Show” and Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations,” he was charged in August 2021 with 30 counts of sexual assault involving 21 women.

He was later found mentally unfit to stand trial in 2023 due to irreversible cognitive decline and was released to private housing for care.
