A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly ramming patrol cars and leading deputies in a devastating chase in San Bernardino County.
The suspect has only been identified as a 16-year-old from Ontario due to his status as a juvenile.
On October 20, Victorville deputies responded to reports of a stolen vehicle near Mohave Drive and Condor Road in Victorville around 8:42 a.m.
Authorities eventually spotted the car near the 15700 block of Mojave Drive. As he approached the teen suspect, deputies said he intentionally rammed his car into nearby patrol cars.
He sped away from the scene and led deputies on a chase. During the chase, the teen crashed into an uninvolved vehicle, injuring two victims.
He abandoned the stolen car and tried to flee on foot. After a short chase, police officers were eventually able to arrest and take the teenager into custody.
He was arrested on charges of attempted murder, evading by driving against traffic, possession of stolen property and felony hit-and-run with injury.
The suspect and the two innocent victims, a driver and a passenger, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
