Several people have come forward to claim they were victimized by a woman accused by Los Angeles investigators of targeting older men on social media dating platforms and apps and stealing from their homes.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has identified the suspect as Adva Lavie, who has appeared in Playboy and Penthouse magazines and claims to be the first-ever Israeli OnlyFans top model, saying she gains the trust of her victims before stealing from their homes.
Authorities say at least 10 men were victimized in Malibu and Los Angeles County.
Laffey, who is described as a woman approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 104 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, is known to drive a black Porsche and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, and is said to use several aliases, including Shoshana, Shanna and Mia Ventura.
Michael Sartain, host of a podcast called “Access Vegas,” told KTLA’s Mary Beth McDade that when he was a guest on an election night special for his podcast, LaVey went into the green room and stole credit cards and cash from the wallets of all the committee members.
“She got up at the 45-minute mark, was gone for 45 minutes and went through everyone’s bag,” he said.
Eden Lane said she was one of the women who were victims that night.
“At some point, she got in there and stole from several women, our credit cards, IDs, money, anything,” Lane explained.
Lynn added that she knows Lavi is the culprit due to multiple attempts to press charges against her that she tried to put on her American Express card, including an expensive hair appointment at a Beverly Hills salon where Lavi reportedly booked the appointment under the name Mia Ventura.
“I contacted the salon and the hairdresser I booked with, and they gave me the name it was placed under,” Lynn said. “I sent screenshots of the FaceTime consultation I had with her as well as receipts and text messages.”
Adult film star Cody Steele told KTLA that he fell victim to Laffey while working with a Los Angeles-based party company. The company hired a group of people to go to France to work on an event and put the group in an Airbnb.
While they were there, Lavi stole luxury items from himself and others while the group was out, he said. French authorities were summoned and, after investigation, forced LaVey to return all the items.
“She decided to basically rob everyone in that group, anything with a designer label,” Steele said.
Over the years, LaVey was a fixture at charity events at Los Angeles and Vegas clubs, and was known to threaten her victims to prevent them from going to the police, Sartain said.
“She would threaten to file a false sexual assault charge or say the guy offered her money for sex, or anything like that,” he explained.
Jail records show that Laffey was last arrested in May on a felony charge and then released on bail, though it is unclear if the charge is related to any of the alleged burglaries.
“At this point, everyone knows she’s guilty and she’s still stealing things. This sounds like mental illness,” Sartain said.
Detectives from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station are urging anyone who may have had similar interactions with her to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Lopez at the Lost Hills station at 818-878-1808 or LAPD Detective Marsh at 818-374-9500.
