(Lake Palmer, Colorado) – A provincial court judge rejected a lawsuit against the town of Palmer, a lake related to dealing with funds, among other allegations.
According to a statement issued by the town of Palmer Lake, on October 3, a local court issued an order granting the city’s proposal to dismiss, which rejected the entire lawsuit filed by the integrity, a community activist group that pushed back against the city’s dealings with issues related to the proposed Palmer Behery.
The chapter comes after a vote on Thursday, October 2 by the City Board of Trustees, which sends the voter decision whether 25 acres will be included in the proposed travel center in Lake Palt. The Board of Directors approved special elections in a 4-3 vote.
These special elections happen because earlier in this fall, voters Palmer Lake agreed to a new law that requires voters ’approval of all accessories, giving those who call the city the final match for such proposals.
The council still has to finish formulating the polling question. Special Elections are expected to be held at some point early in 2026.
Following the rejection of the case, the trustee and the mayor of Tim Emmy Hutson resigned, saying that she could not carry out her duties for a longer period and pointed to pressure from controversial and litigation meetings as contributing to her resignation.

Lake Palmer residents:
I volunteered for 5 years in the town of Palmer Lake as a planning commissioner and then honest. During that time, it helped write and implement the main plan for the current community, rewrite the signal code, rewrite the land use code, pressed an employee to comply with a symbol, and pay a real plan for Rock Elephant property. It has become a guardian to honor the main plan and the planning committee. I was always trying to help and make things better.
She shouted at, accused, accused of violations, and sued. Breaking news …. The judge rejected all the charges against and all other charges against the city. “Integrity” matters is a joke. Find it. Also search for them that they tried to get the city to pay $ 775,000 to settle.
My skin is very thin and I am very bitter at this stage to implement my office. I officially surrendered to my position as Secretary of Palmer Lake as of today on October 3, 2025. By the way, if BOT has a vote on BUC-Ee, I would have voted a happy number to find someone who knows the main plan and the symbol as I do who has a nice servant’s heart.
